nice buck on public land
 

i scored this nice eleven pointer sat a little after 11 o'clock. this is my second nice buck i have harvest on public property and i had a chance at a really nice 150+ buck two years ago but blew it. i hunt central illinois and i am very thankful for the public property we have around here. this is my fifth year hunting and have never had a problem harvesting deer but i do put in a ton of time which has payed off. i think he is around 125 to 130 what do you think.

no not yet hes already at taxidermy. wont be able to score him till i get rack back.

I'd say he's 130's. Congrats.

I used to hunt public land in IL exclusively until we started leasing some private ground over there. There is a lot of public land in southern IL as well. I blew my chance on a public ground monster about 15 years ago. I've killed a couple mid-150's bucks and he would have swallowed them. I wouldn't doubt if he was in the 180's. I wish I knew for sure.:(
