Its a skinny dog. The way you can tell is by the hind quarters and tail. If it were a cat, the skin flap would not be that far up the inner hind quarter like it is.
The second part is the tail. I have seen several cats on trail cameras and all of their tails were stretched out farther from the body and not so raised as this one is. My .02 cents.

I can't believe this is still being debated! It looks just like my 8 month old lab pup without question it's a dog, lab type.

Ok heres my opinion.
I believe its a panther.
1:Tail curls to much to be a dog.( at least any larger dog)
2:Shoulder blades built for jumping
3:Longer body
4:Skinny body
5:Black......

The only question I'd have is that shoulder blade. That is a very defined shoulder blade for a dog.

You all are funny, Ive seen much more defined shoulder blades on a dog, it is clearly a malnutritioned black lab. There is no mistaking a lab, and thats clearly a dog. Too tall of legs to be a panther, and ...well heck id be wasting time if I establish a full reasoning on why its a dog..but CLEARLY its a dog.
