Default Does anyone here hunt Richloam?

I just need a lil help, I do have a few spots picked out, Im just not sure if there good or not, I need to scout and Find some more, also where do I skin and clean the deer or hog, I saw the check station but yet no one was there and wasent really sure what I would have to do? thanks

check station is probably only manned during the general gun season because it is the busiest.

Richloam is a wildlife management area in Florida.

I don't hunt there, but I hunt GS & Hillsborough - very close & about the same from what I hear. Skinning racks are near check stations at all FL WMA's I've ever hunted. The people who man the stations are pretty helpful. They will be there when the season opens. You are wise to scout early. If you can find a spot at least 1 mile from where people can park you may be in the money. My last deer a Chaz was 1.4 miles to drag to my truck. Lots of pressure on public land, but if you are willing to hike it can be a great hunt. Buy a game cart & a GPS so you can go back & retrieve what you shot. Best wishes - Rich
