Default Temps dipping low in the South

Temps here in MS are going to be nice and cool here for a while according to the forecasters. Got down to 50 last night and is forecast to be even lower some nights this week. Season starts on friday for bow season so that's great news for us.

It's nice to finally have some cooler weather here in oklahoma. The highs are going to be in the 70s and no higher than 80 all week so it's a nice change.

Hunting when it's 55 beats the heck out of 95 sweating in a treestand or groundblind. We don't all live at 7000 ft. elevation. We got some rain earlier this week but it's been bad dry lately.

Us southerners are used to bow hunting in 90 plus degree temps, so 50 degrees is a blessing to us this time of year. I can't wait to wake up this Friday morning on the bow opener to temps in the 50's. The last two seasons, the temps were in the 70's for a low and 90's for a high for the first week of bow season, and not much better the next week. The perfect day for me during gun season is a clear calm day with low temps in the high 30's and a high temp in the 50's.

I hunted last week in 96 highs and 75 lows, had no rain in weeks my water hole was bone dry no deer moving. we just had an ass load of rain and I will be in my stand by Wed. I am diggin this cold front. this coupled with the full moon we just had, I bet there will be some good bucks taken. this will start the rut ina furry here for us southerners, take advantage of it if you can.
