Default An Emerging Pattern

I have noticed that the Deer in my area are staying very close to their beding areas which are located close to their food sources. I thought hunting the water sources would be the best strategy but now I'm not so sure thats what I should do because they don't seem willing to travel far in this heat. It's been 20 degrees above normal here all week with a possible record 100 degrees as I write this here in southern Indiana. All the deer I have seen the past 2 weeks have not been more than 100 or so yards from their beding areas. There are few tracks if any near the ponds, feeder creeks and nearly dry secondary larger creeks which still have water in them. The rivers like the Blue here in southern Indiana have tracks in areas where the heavy cover is close by. Has anyone else noticed this pattern where your weather is like ours in this region? Any thoughts pro or con on what I've shared and a new strategy to get close to where they are feeding? Thanks
