slug gun only state here...and mostly only bowhunt anyway, have a 12ga, wanting a 20ga savage though.

may head out to MT for deer, haven't really used the .340wby on much, 225gr tipped TSX, so may get those sighted in and sure it's overkill, but plenty flat shooting, and why not get some experience with her.

also have a .243win that hasn't taken anything yet, so breaking her in may be an idea, 85gr TSX, plus she's light, which is always nice, and my only stainless.

course there's always the ideal .270win so who knows?

.243win 85gr
.270win 130gr
.340wby 225gr

50 cal. Sniper Rifle with armor piercing rounds,80mm mortar for the ones hiding in the valleys ,we can't use rifles here so I will use my ML instead of a shotgun.

Depending on where I set up.

If in tight cover; My Marlin 336C in .35 Rem with iron sights

Good out to 300 yards; My Remington 700 SPS in .243 Win

If long range shooting is required; My Sako A7 in 7MM RM

All my bolt guns have a Burris Signature Select 4X-16X Ballistic Plex Illuminated reticles on them, so I always get the same sight picture no matter which gun I'm using.

I'm not a bright guy, so I do everything I can, to dumb it down (KISS).
