Some on here might call me full of crap, but I have had multiple deer walk right up to a stump that I've peed on. Some may say that peeing in the woods chases the deer off but I beg to differ when I've seen them sniff the stump that I had peed on an hour earlier. The buck that is in my avatar pic walked under my stand not 5 minutes after I had peed out of my stand!

true that, i put a peanut butter tub tied to a tree ( not easily accessible) , it took em about 1 1/2 years to eat it all gone.

You need to get yourself a girl friend or least stay away from whoever told you that. :sign0004:

Anise oil. Most people don''t have a clue what it is but deer will often stop in their tracks if the smell it and more often than not after they smell it they will search out the smell and eat what ever you apply it to.

timbercruiser 09-23-2010 05:21 AM

Just be careful if your state doesn't allow baiting. Anything not natural can be considered baiting in those states, just like the spilled popcorn. In Alabama that small handful of popcorn or a peanut butter jar would cost you about $475 in fines should a over zelous possum police walked up..
