Sometimes when you are hunting near an edge, like field/woods, wind coming over the trees toward the field will roll down and go back into the woods. And then there are all the other things that deer can blow at. You just never know.

Deer blow at all kinds of crazy crap. Ive seen deer blow at other deer. I wouldn't worry too much. Unless they winded your trail where you walk into your stand.

I wouldn't worry to much about it. Sounds like everything was in your favor, and if there was a good steady breeze it could have been anything.

that's the funny thing about wind it swirls and goes different directions. I have a stand that on a NE wind the actual wind at that stand is from the S .go figure that mystery.

The wind may have been in your face but when evening falls so does the wind currents. As the temperatures drop so does the currents. Just the opposite in the morning. If that deer was below you the currents were dropping.
