I take my bow, a knife, a flashlight, and the most important, a reliable bic lighter. A lighter is important because if you fall out of a tree, you have 1. a signal fire for when they come looking for you and 2. especially in the colder weather, you have a fire to keep you warm. I had a friend freeze to death in about 45 degree weather, so dont think if your bundled up youll be alright for the night if you cant move.

Right now, a new rifle and nice scope, if I needed one.

Harness style deer drag--5 bucks. Way easier than dragging by hand or using a cart.

Compact sharpener.

Shoulder length field dressing gloves are worth the dollar. Keeps you from getting wet when it's -30 and stops the crusty dry skin feeling from blood.

You might consider first aid goods according to your needs.

Keep it simple. Buy the basics. Weapon, Camo, Ammo, Food And Water. Over time you'll build up on your hunting gear. Can't go out and try and buy everything you need at once. Ask buddies for extra stuff. If they're like me I have extra stuff to spare. Good Luck.
