What kind of land do you hunt on?

111 acres of private land. has 2 creeks that flow to a river. one great big funnel. also can hunt on 2 other 20 acre spots that are private. we have a 410 acre of public land here that has a big oxbow lake in it, but have never hunted there.(don't know why cause it's a good area)

Unfortunately I'm confined to public land for archery. My neighbor owns some of the best property in the region with a thick creek bottom, corn fields and pine stands, but he only lets 1 person bowhunt it. He says I can gun hunt it though!

I got 80 acres of rolling wooded hills that the deer share with a mix of row crops and cows. peaks at 1000 ft above sea level and bottoms are around 300-400 feet above sea level so says the google topography map.
You gota be in shape to hunt my land. We also lease it out to several other hunters, just to much to stay on top of.

Mix of private and public. I've found two secrets to hunting public land:
1. Expect to occasionally have to deal with other hunters bumping into you. If you expect it, you're less likely to get pissed off when it happens.
2. Use other hunters to your advantage. The majority of other hunters are pretty lazy and hunt in really accessible, predictable areas. Find the thickest, nastiest patch of woods and you'll probably see the deer that the other guys push around...plus you're less likely to run into another hunter.
I've found this to work on private land that I share with other hunters too, BTW. LOL!
