I am not aware of any panthers with collars but I guess its possible if they are tracking them but look like hounds to me.

I also think it's 2 dogs. If it is a panther, then it is 2 of them. Because that's not just one animal. Think it's just 2 slender black dogs. The one on the right definitely looks like a panther though. Don't think it is.

I have blown that pic up and it is 2 of something and what looks like a collar is actually grass...... that being said I would say 2 black panthers. Those are definitely not dogs. Look at the tail on the one standing broadside. Just My opinion......Remember the KDWP (Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks) says there are no mountain lions in Kansas.. Wrong! They are here.

Here is the blow up! You tell me! Well it didn't stay blown up! I'll try again. the face on the other one is flat like a cat not long like a dog. You decide. Now I think it has stayed!

I say its a collar you can see the over hang where it would go through the buckle just below the neck.

The animal on the right is definitely a large cat. Look at the length of the body, the curvature and posture of the tail, the way back seams to slope upward from the shoulders toward the hips, and the way the head is carried low.

Most dogs of any size slope downwards from shoulders to hips. They carry their heads above their shoulders unless they are sniffing the ground, and they don't carry their tails like that.
