Ethical IS .....what is ethical in YOUR own mind. You decide, no one else. It does not matter what someone else thinks, says, does..... Get over it!

well i guess im not alone in my opinion about takeing unethical shots at long distances...so i guess i have a few allies out there...it seams like theres some that cant stand not agueing even when not in a chat room,,,i will not be baited into an aguement with this and i use this term loosely,,,( hunter) i guess no one saw the reserch i did about boone and crockett saying it is unethical and therefor game taken like this was not elegible for entry into the books...this was on tv by the way...i have nothing against him or any other hunter ,,i do however have issue with his kind of hunting...and i dont believe hunting .net should uphold this kind of hunting pure and simple...ridge runner please stop stalking me here and in chat,,,,

It is every hunter's responsibility to know their equipment to the extent to make sure they make a clean and ethical shot and that pertains to distance no matter how what range.

if a person knows his capabilties - distance is irrelevant!

and I for one would like to see where that is stated in B&C as it sure is not listed on their home page. Unless I missed it

Ridge Runner,

Good shooting is all I have to say (over 1,000 yards - GREAT shooting !)

I (me) just don't call that "hunting" (spot and stalk-you know what I mean).

Please don't misunderstand................I tip my hat to you for your shooting abilities !!!

No moral judgements here.........................Do your thing.

Good post Sheridan. That's how I feel. The closer I get, the better I feel. It's part of the hunt to me. Anyone can shoot at them from far away. Not everyone can hit them but they can all shoot at them. No disrespect to you RR. It's just not my bag and I don't understand the thrill.

Not to many can come within a few yards, or sometimes even a few feet. That's hunting.
