Where to get a Plat Map?
Im trying to contact neigboring landowners around a friends property that Im hunting for the first time this year............I found a few maps online but couldnt find the county I need.......................I was just wondering if anybody at HuntingNET had any experience with Plat Maps an where to get them?
THANKS MITCH |
A lot of counties do not offer plat map books, but if you go to your county Property Appraiser's office you should be able to get the contiguous landowners names and addresses with a map. If the books are available in your county I've seen a lot of different venues to buy them, from banks, NRCS OFfice to the Chamber of Commerce. Your Property Appraiser's office should know if they are vailable in your county.

I've gotten mine from the County Courthouses.

county auditor my way. also look into google earth, you wont have the property lines but you can get a good idea of what your working with.

Some states even have their plat maps online, like Maryland. (For free, even!)

mossyoak.com has free satellite/ariel maps at several dif. elevations. they also have topo and road maps to name a couple more. it's pretty easy to use. only bad thing is i don't think the pics are updated yearly. it sure helps though seeing what surrounding woods/land is like. hope this helps.
