Least effective type of call you've used

What kind of call have you had the least amount of luck with? grunts, bleats, rattling, ect.

Snort wheeze for sure. They either dont care or it scares them. And i've only used it on shooter bucks, 140" or better!

Never heard of one

You mean to say that a manufacturer made an ineffective call for the country club hunters? That's unbelievable.

I did hear of one great ineffective call. It was some fool hunter screaming at the top of lungs, that he was plumb lost in the middle of the forest.

I would have to say probably bleats. But that is because it's the call I use the least if ever. Any call used for whitetail has it's time to be used most effectively in the wood's either by them selves or in combination. A call's effectivness all depends on when you use it really.

Coyote howler. The deer never seem to come in when I use it. :confused0024:

snort wheeze is like all calls where sometimes their effectiveness depends on how frequent you use them or more importantly or don't use them. Many hunters tend to over do all calls. If your snort wheezing more than a couple of times at a buck most likely you will run him off or alert him that something just isn't quite right. Rattling is only going to be effective consistently if you have a very good doe to buck ratio.
