scent control

I understand scent control is very important during your hunt but how important is it when refilling your feeder should I go as far as wearing gloves and scent free boots or can I go right after i leave work this is my first thread and I appreciate any input

Well i check my trail camera without using cover scent and deer are back in front of the camera in a couple hours, so it might bug the mature bucks a little bit but as long as you don't go and fill it up every other day and give your scent time to get out of the area then you should be ok. I know some people are crazy about using scent control and i understand that during deer season but every time you step out into the woods is a little crazy. That's my opinion anyway

That's kind of what I thought thanks for the input.

I have never bothered with scent control and the big bucks are usually the first ones there .

Just in case you didn't know when you go and fill up your feeder do it mid day when the deer aren't out. This morning i got up to check my camera to avoid the heat and chiggers and i ended up jumping two deer. I usually check mine mid day but the one day i decide to go early the deer are there.

Thanks for the tip I hope all the work pays off but if not at least I got to spend a little time in the woods.

I personally do not like to touch the corn, or any feed Im putting out. When I load my feeders I use the sacks of corn and just pour it in. When its on the ground I'll use my rubber boots to kick it around. I just try to minimize my scent.

i wear my boots and spray down. but something i never thought about until i watched "dominant bucks" the other day, is to spray down your feeder as well.

My feed and feeder is the only things i make sure i don't touch much and spray down.

well i personally dont use a feeder, i just pour it on the ground so i dont touch the corn, but the show was talking about spraying down your release, something you touch all of the time and many people over look it because its in your pack or bow case
