Tempted to try the Federal 130gr TTS in my .300 WSM, but plan on using my Remington 700 Mountain Rifle SS in .243 for deer hunting this year. It's topped with a Zeiss Conquest 4.5x14x44mm.

I will take a couple with my bow, hopefully, and maybe one with my Optima, depends on how many I get with my bow. Once rifle season opens, I will go to my Browning A-Bolt 270 WSM. I may try to take one with my Ruger M77 270, but the Browning will see most of the action.

You've got an Illinoisian here, so my only option is a shotgun or ML. I'm going to be packing my new .50 Optima Elite, but inside 100 yards it will give most of your CF's a run for your money. Now as far as a quick second shot you probably have me beat

i'll be using my Ruger M77 in 7MMRemMag. it's always been accurate, and it has a lot of sentimental value. it was a gift to my grandfather (my mother's father) from my father. when he died i inherited it. i've made the vast majority of my harvests with it.

I'm new to this site and couldn't resist this particular thread because I actually am planning a hunt with a unique rifle that followed me home from deer camp last winter. Is there a way I can post a pic for y'all to see?
