My weekly trail cam pics

I post my new pics every week on new threads so I figured why not just keep all the pics on one thread. So that way you guys could see the progression in the bucks velvet antlers from start to hard horn and what there up to during the season too.The time and date does not work right on the one camera.(sorry)

Week1

Week 2

Nice pics. If you're going to keep track of the progression, etc, you may want to name a few of the bucks so we can remember which buck is which as well. LOL!

(P.S. Learn to edit your LARGE pics too! It's makes a funner post to read and look at)

I have thought about naming them but I can't think of any good name for them yet.As for the size of the pics I do not how to re size them so I am going to have to ask my wife how to do it.

Week 3
This week was slow at the one cam on bucks because it was so hot.Plus I was looking around and found that there was not a water source any were close to me since I am on top of a south facing slope. So even thought I knew it mite spook some of the bucks at first I installed a small 15 gallon pond for the deer to drink from so they would hang around longer. Here is the new pics of the deer around the pond.

One of my does finally dropped her fawns!

Camer 2 did not take any pics!I looks like it is not working:cry:

Is that just a regular old mineral block you've got set out there?

Kosherboy 06-07-2010 07:35 PM

Yes it is.ou can buy them at any feed store, they work great and only cost 7dollars.They will also last for about a year. That is another reason why I put the pond in.(that way they do not get dehydrated from the salt)

Week 5
Well the bucks are looking better and all the deer are really really like the pond I put in.I am getting way more pics since I introduced water were there was none.

If you property is able to be managed, you might want to think about taking the buck out from you week one pictures.
His rack and body looks like maybe a injury.
Looks like he may have some back hip problems. ( skinny and shape of back end )
He might have issues from injuries. ( hit by a car ? )
See how he grows in the next couple of months.

Agree, something isn't right with this buck

If he does not appear to be getting better by the end of the season I will use a tag on him.

bushnlo: I see some of the pictures you posted, you are using a Spy Point trail camera. What series are you using? Have you taken any videos with it? I have two Spy Point IRB set up for video. I like the day time (color). The night video (black and white) show better in winter with snow for a back ground. I have not tried this model on pictures. Just my preference and the same for color (color as compared to black and white). Thanks for sharing.

Are these Jersey Bucks? ( north /central/south Jersey ) ?

I have the new 12meg with the big viewing screen.I used it on video before and the video works awesome but eats up a lot of batteries so I just keep it on pic mode most of the time.
