Game Wardens

Hey llpaintball--You picked a fine career there wish I had done that years ago.Oh Well, but to answer your question the ones that I work with and know from the woods Spend alot of time hunting--Here and out of state. Being a Game warden seems to open doors for some areas with other wardens from other states. Sounds like some good perks if you ask me! Good luck and just think of all the time you will have to observe the animals your after!!

Thinking about that now, huh?

I would be more worried about finding a job as a game warden. I have a buddy in IL. who has been on the list after passing his tests for 6 years now. Good luck!

At first. NO. As you get seniority, maybe. Someone has to be on patrol during the busy seasons of hunting and fishing season. Who do you think that is, the new guy or the guy with seniority? who do you think gets first crack at the ideal days off?

You can hunt the bad guys. Thats what I would love to do.

Laughingly, It reminded me. . .

of a warden, I knew decades ago, who worked for a Fish Department, only. He was a big deer hunter for recreation.
I remember working for a sporting goods store. A lot of it had absolutely nothing to do with fishing and hunting. Luckily I was in a state with long fishing and hunting seasons.

It's very hard to get in, quite a waiting list. Good luck though!
