RE: Antler Oddities
I always thought that the injury had to be to his berries from his twig and berries package :D Seriously though, I thought that I had read that somewhere, all other deformaties were caused from genetics. It sure seems like that was false from some of the pics I am seeing.
Now, how would a deer grow a unicorn antler, you know, they have the normal antlers with a antler growing in between them? Would it be from a scar on his center of his belly? |
RE: Antler Oddities
Two Beards,
That buck would have been an even bigger prize than he already is, had he not been injured. Outlaws suck, that' s for sure. Jim |
RE: Antler Oddities
antler deformities, are caused by leg injury, usually the opposite side, this is pretty much common knowledge, because a buck is nonsymetrical 7pt, 9pt,11pt
is his genetic make up, an injury to the leg can be as little as a pop cap wedged in the hoof, not likely buck shot in the neck, or a .22 in the back strap, I' ve had people show me pic' s of there buck, with deformed growth on one side, and told them, did that deer have a limp, ya, how did you know, no body is smarter then new york deer hunter' s, well maybe p.a. boy' s:D:D |
