I hand load for my daughter's Rem. Model 788 ..... 100 gr. Nosler Partition. Penetrates great. Have also used Nosler 100 gr. Ballistic Tip, but prefer the Partition because of the penetration.

I just started hunting with the Winchester 243 this year and I was very happy with the results. I used Hornady 100 gr sp and with 2 shots I got 2 white tails, clean kills. awsome performance.

I have used several differnt loads in my 243.. My goto round is the 85 Grain BTHP it is wicked on deer. It usually does not leave a blood trail, but I have never needed one.. Another new option that I plan to try is the Federal 85 grain Barnes Triple X.
