2009 Wisconsin Buck
I shot this buck monday morning of gun season after spending the weekend at the waterpark for my daughters birthday. I heard about the low numbers taken over the weekend, but headed out first thing in the morning. I had an Ithica model 37 deerslayer than a friend had gave me. The gun shot like a dream at the range and I wanted to break it in. So about two in the afternoon this guy walks across the creek near one of my other stands, and hes not coming my way. So i pick the best opening I can find and squeeze the best I can while my heart doing 280!! When I shoot he reacts more like he was spooked instead of hit.... So I wait about a half an hour and go look. All I find is a tuft of hair... I think OMG I MISSED!!!! I turn to look where he went and there is one beautiful pool of blood. Not more than thirty feet away hes piled up in a heap. While dressing him his heart falls out. Both atria missing. :s2: Just curious how old you think he is and what he might score. Eleven points fifteen and a half spread. Main beams almost touch. Maybe this was Gods way of making up for the waterpark..?? Thanks for reading. Sorry cell phones dont work well when its foggy...

congrats on a great deer

i'd say at least 140. the buck is maybe a 4 1/2 year old. not sure.
Beautiful deer, man!
great buck 140+ i think and 4 1/2 +
I am going to agree with the 4.5. He looks to be a fairly old deer. He is a dandy, nice work.
Very nice buck but why are you not wearing the required blaze orange in Wisconsin?
Cause I was sweating my arse off after dragging him(I'm not the smallest guy in the world). My jacket is hanging from a tree right next to me. I hunt on private land, but have had many a bullet go flying over my head.

Great deer, nice job. I would go with the 140's estimate based on the picture and also the 4.5...he is gray, roman nose, looks to be an old warrior. That is a nice deer for the ol' wall for sure.
Thats a nice deer! That forked brow looks cool. I'm also going to guess around 140. I would say he's 4.5 heck I'll throw 5.5 in the mix. He looks fairly old in the face.
He's old enough for pepperettes but nice trophy for the wall, congratulations on the successful hunt.
What a stud! Congrats!

That is one fine buck you killed... congrats..
To me it looks like a 3.5 year old buck and scores about 135. You got some good genetics in your area.

I hunt near the thriving metropolis of Holland near Kaukauna. Normally gun season isnt so good, bow season is another story. I just got lucky this year. Thanks for all the comments..
Nice looking buck, congrats on the harvest.
