A Few of Our Deer
I wasn't sure if I should have put this in the taxidermy section or in here but please move it if it should be in there.
I haven't posted on here a whole lot but figured I would show everyone some pictures of some deer that we have gotten in the past few years.
The first picture is of the deer I got in the fall of 06. The second is one that my dad shot about 20 years ago. It has been hanging in my room for as long as I can remember. The third picture is of the 6x7 that my dad shot this past season. The fourth is of the deer I got in 07. You cannot tell from the picture but it is a 4x5. The last picture is of the deer that my cousin got this past fall. He has gotten 3 really nice bucks in the past few seasons. I wish I had some more pictures to show of his.
I got a nice 5x5 that past fall but stupid me didn't get any decent pictures of it before I took it to the taxidermist. One guy we were with this year got a nice tall 4x4 about 20 minutes and 400 yards away from where I got mine. My grandpa owns the land that we hunt and he said he had seen 2 really nice deer in the area we got ours all summer. We figured we got both of them but he was in that area a couple days after we were done hunting and he said they were both there. I am hoping they will still be around next year. All of these deer were shot in Lyman County, SD with rifles. I plan on starting bow hunting this fall so I am hoping I can arrow another one to put on the wall.
