Forkhorn for sure!!!!!

noidurism 02-25-2010 07:09 AM

the one that offers the best shot - seeing as they are the same age and size.

spike, even if you think genetics arent relavant @ that age I disagree if they are both the same age and weight, and everything is equal accept their antlers the spike will still be the better management buck....JMHO

whatever one gave me a better show with the bow

If I HAD to shoot one of them so I could eat, it wouldn't matter which one, I'd take the first shot opportunity. But this day and age with the number of deer around here, I'll shoot doe's before I would an immature buck.

I'd take the forkie.

Garringer55 03-09-2010 10:34 AM

I would shoot the spike considering management and where i hunt a spike is considered a doe when tagging it...

The best presenting shot.

Let them both go unless you can determine that they are mature. Ive seen cases where spikes grow into nice respectable bucks. If your after meat only then wait for a doe anyway to have better table fare.
