I am going with 400 lbs worth.

to break it down..

1 oz = 100 cotton balls
1 lb = 1600 cotton balls
1600 x 400lbs = 640,000 cotton balls

The weight can not be figured .Are the cotton balls wet or dry?Dry balls will weigh less than wet ones.

600,131 cotton balls, even though there can not be a correct number because cotton balls are not a uniform weight and weight depends on the elevation that they are weighed at, too many variables to be exact.

The average cotton ball weighs .002 pounds but they come in more than one size so on a smaller cotton ball I'll say it weighs .001 pounds so for the first number I'll say 200,000 and for the second size cotton ball I'll say 400,000
