Sheds?
Just wondering if anyone has found sheds yet? I saw a couple of pics in the Trail camera forum showing bucks with only one horn and a bloody depression where the other had already fallen off.

I am sure they are dropping around here, but I have not found any yet. I did get a pic on my trail cam, that looks like it is a buck that has dropped both sides, and has heeled over.
|
found 1 - then we got 2 ft of snow
will look again this weekend. |
No, but I saw a buck with only 1 (4 point) antler today.
|
They should be shedding antlers but the snow is way to deep to get anywhere around here and many may be under it too.

A friend found a pair stuck in snow today here in WI in a corn field food plot. The set popped right off and stuck in snow when it lifted its head.

here in central wi they are and arent. at my gfs place her dad has found 4 sides but no sets yet and all those bucks still have the other sides. at my buddys farm where we spoil them with protein year round, food plots, and other stuff. according to our cameras only 1 buck out of like 15 has only shed 1 side

The snow is pretty deep where I live but I need excersise so tomorrow I might go for a little walk. If nothing else hopefully I will be able to locate some bedding areas so I can go back to them after the snow dissapears. I don't usually have much luck this early. I usually find mine during turkey season.
