If you don't have any other hunting pressure around you and really want to grow your herd, take a year off from hunting your land or only harvest a small doe. If you have alot of hunting pressure it makes it really hard to grow and manage a herd.

Where are you hunting in Penscola?I'd harvest some of the does and other deer will learn where the food is.
