Grow bigger deer? Mineral Licks - Feed Plots
 

I am not looking to hunt over feed of course, but in the harsh winters up here in northern Alberta, is there anything I can do to support the proper development of the bucks in my area such as mineral licks or small feed plots (I have land).

I have not seen a mature buck in quite some time, but that could be due to my incompetence as a hunter. Still I am wondering if they could use some help during the winter and spring until the deep snow goes away in May (my land sometimes has snow until late may as it melts slower than the city).

here in pa we use a mixture of trace mineral salt and diecal for mineral supliment, and for feed we use a 50/50 mixture of corn and feeder pellets. seems to work well on getting the deer through the winter, as for growing big bucks lol u have to remember we are in pa
