Default making the right choice

Ok I bought a new TC Omega muzzleloader .
I,m pulling my hair out on scope choices .
I.ll be using the ML abought 3 weeks out o the season at most .
I want a decent scope .
I narrowed it down to ..
1. Nikon Omega w/ BDC #8401 $197.00
2.Nikon Buckmaster w/BDC #6421 $194.99
3. Leupold Ultimate slam ML w/ SBC #65480 $239.00

Thinking of getting the Nikon Buckmaster series because it has a wider field of view , but is the BDC going to be any good to me because its made for a rifle ??
I also like the lighter weight and shorter length of the Omega , but it has a smaller field of view..

Any thoughts or suggestions ...

Personally I like the quality and looks of the Leupold Scopes...they seem to be better in the early mornings and late evening bring in the better field of view in low-light conditions!

The buckmaster will be no good for you with that reticule. It will match the trajectory at some yardages of coarse. But will it match up at the yardages you need? Let's assume the sight in is 100 yards, then the second 128, then the 3rds 144 and so on. Will be kind of hard I imagine to remember where the reticules intersect if it is not your primary hunting rifle.

Between the Omega and Leuopold you have to figure which is best for you. The omega (92% light transmition) is brighter than a vx-1(82-87%) or vx-2(85-87%) not to mention cheaper. But leuopold has the no fault warranty. Nikon has a limited warranty which does not cover what they consider abuse. Leuopold claims reticule to 300, omega to 250. Omega does have a 1.65-5x36 that is within 2 ft of luopolds field of view with the 2-7. So between the two you have pluses and minuses.
Good luck.

The BDC isnt a quick fix for yardage. It can be close, you will have to shoot it and find out. I have a Nikkon BDC and love it.
