Well deer season is over except brutally cold bow hunting so I guess its time for me to hang up the bow and break out the 12 gauge pump and slate call....Cant wait till I can get out and listen for a ol' tom going up or coming down from the roost.....

makes my heart pound brain swell and eyes pop every time!

what about yall are yall ready for the big bird's?

oh yeah cant wait till catfish either!!

if i had the extra $ i'd get another doe tag and drive down to my sisters house in central ohio and get 1 more but i can't afford it. and yes i am also ready for those spring gobblers and those elusive morrells.

-10? That's when the elderly around here consider it warm enough to finally go down to the local senior center and hang out. LOL!

As for something else to do, call in some predators!

I was just thinking about turkey hunting today. And I admit, its hard to beat the excitement of hearing a loud gobble echo through the woods during a nice spring morning.

If only deer would gobble, that would be the bomb.
If turkey used their noses we wouldn't get any lol

Hey HK, I am in Central MO and I don't think it is too cold yet. Well, pretty close anyway. I went out today for a couple of hours. The snow started when I sat down and by the time dark came, I had a pretty decent snow camo suit on. I don't have the time to get out the rest of the week, but you better bet I will get out a couple of times next week. Down to the waning days then. Looks like a warm up for the first part of next week anyhow.

As far as turkey, I think I will be out of town for a couple of months so I will miss the season. Maybe I can find something down in Georgia.

Good luck if you get back out.
