You gotta love this. 'Course this is private land only, but if you are fortunate enough to be able to find some land to hunt on, your only excuse not to get your six deer is time and how full your freezer is. I know the land that I hunt (a vinyard), the deer are thick as flies.
I wanted to explain that in my post but I was too lazy to type all that!
The area I hunt it is archery only, which is not necessarily a bad thing.You don't have to stop at six. You do know about the bonus tags I assume?

stupid A** New Jersey goes till mid Febuary, with unlimited antlerless deer allowed to be taken with your choice of bow, crossbow, shotgun or muzzleloader, then come fall hunters bitch they don't see alot of deer. This had been going on for over 12 years

I thought it was Jan. 31 statewide, so I looked it up. Sure enough, in area 6, it goes until Feb. 15. I did not know this. Gun season ends in my area Jan. 17, with a week of muzzleloading to the 24th. You then have a week more to bow hunt.
