There is no whitetail deer hunting in feb. in NY. I believe you can hunt small game in feb. I see from previous posts you are from asia so you have limited time here in the US. You have a special situation that requires a different approach. Hopefully someone else can give you that info.good luck

I believe you are looking for a high fenced preserve. There is a place in homer NY called cold brook hunts.

Big Boar Lodge as well.

What part of New York are you going to be in? We are a pretty big state- forget about the city. There is no deer hunting outside of shooting preserves in february. Small game hunting depends on where you are in the state, but if you have limited time, again, a shooting preserve situation may be best.

I also made a reply to a thread you inquired in from several months ago. I didnt see it previously.( new to hunting, in september).

thanks for the tips guys.
i am looking at both the outfitters that were recommended.
Daveboone, thanks for the reply to my previous thread.
i am travelling to ny for a knife expo but i am free for 3 days to hunt.
i was thinking of staying at the outfitter;s if they have lodging.
i have found this place
thehiddenvalleyoutfitters.com
anyone tried them?

Daveboone 01-07-2010 05:03 AM

I dont know anything about Hidden Valley, I would call them and ask for a few references, and be sure to call them. That is the best way to find out.
Important questions: How big an area? How many other hunters will be in it?
Will a guide be with me through the hunt? (do you have a rifle, and can they loan you one, will you be able to test fire it first?) What fees are included? (tip, hunt fee plus trophy fee if succsessfull, trophy preparation, butchering?)
Where and when is the knife show you are going to ? are you going as a exhibitor or a visitor? I am asking only because I might want to go to it too.
Thanks, Dave
