I'm never "depressed" when the season is over. I always appreciate the time to recharge as I am sure Mother Nature does as well. I tend to celebrate and reflect on the past season and get ready for the next.

I highly enjoy doing a cleaning on my 30-30, scanning the hunting mags for new gear and talking with neighboring hunters and sharing stories. In time, I'll be back in the woods scouting and I take enjoyment out of that as well.

I'll be out hunting squirrel until Jan. 30th (VA season ends then) as well so I won't go cold turkey.
