well, i hunt the adirondacks in upstate new york, that is about 6 million acres, then i hunt the jefferson and george washington national forest in virgina, that is about 1.8 million acres. then i hunt fort ap hill in virginia, 48,000 acres, and a few places in North Carolina, but i would consider them small. :D

:DI hunt the Cascade Range in Oregon. I don' t have any idea how many acres, but I know when I get up high, I can look all around and see nothing but forest in every direction for hundreds of miles! :D

My family has 320 acres with about 5 different wood lots on it. My father-in-law has about 1000 acres with several different wood lots.

My sons, friends and I hunt three different WMU' s here in NH. The total pieces of woods is about eight, some are private, non-posted and some public land. These areas are usually not big in area (1-3 square mile or so) and the same applies when we hunt Maine. In NH, it is almost impossible to get lost. Sooner or later you will come to a tar road, Maine however, is a different ball game. You can walk your life away in those swamps and logging roads. No compass in NH, usually no problem...No compass in Maine, bad idea! That' s why we write in the palm of our hands, the direction out...OUT- NW....not a bad habit to get into.

Well I have a new place that is about 50 acres, one that is only 12 acres but a natural funnel area, I hunted one place with 60 acres that was full of deer that I hope I can get permission to hunt this season and one 2 acre stretch along a power line that is fairly heavily traveled, I might start hunting Ft. Belvoir here in Va. this year which is thousands of acres, not all of which you can hunt though.

I hunt 5 or 6 farms ranging in size from 150 to 270 acres. I also hunt on my own property which is only 14 acres, but usually produces a couple for me. I' m picky though. ;)
