Most people shoot the 200 grain bullets. The 150's in the 35 seem awfully light to me, but they must work or they wouldn't keep making them.

When I first started deer hunting 39 years ago I shot a .30-30 with 170 grain bullets which I think most people still use. The .35 is larger in diameter so I would be tempted to shoot a more elongated bullet which is the 200 grain.

The few deer I shot with a .35 Rem were shot with Hornady 200 gr, or Core Lokt 200 gr. Both were excellent. Actually, they gave very quick kill which were far beyond my expectations.

I use to handload .35 Rem for my Contender (prior to a house robbery). Can't remember the actual weight (125 or 150) but we always used Hornady XTP Pistol Bullets instead of the rifle bullet design (.357 cal). They did the trick.
