My hunting buddy blasted a doe right in the middle of a well deer traveled trail one night that left nice patches of blood all over the place. He said deer wouldn't be traveling there for awhile.

The next night: a nice sized buck stood right in the same place.

Go gett'em.

The blood and gut pile may attract predators and their scent may put the deer on high alert. I agree that the human scent is more of a problem.

I have killed as many as 3 deer in one sitting and still had more coming in. If you aren't getting pictures, there is something else causing the problem and not blood.
