Another found dead deer on our property

I was out earlier hunting and trying to get back to the house because rain was poring down on me..I walked through a small patch of timber and stumbled across a BIG bodied but small horned 8 point he was dead I twisted his head until it broke off the neck he is ok I would kill him but that isnt saying a hole lot.

I'll post pictures when the rain subsides.

This is the second dead 8 point I have found this year

Dead from an animal, hunters leaving them, natural causes or can you tell?

Looks very similar to my dads 8 point he shot this year. That sucks

So what's up with that picture....fishing poles, steel trap, and a base ball bat? Just curious, not things you see in a deer photo every day.

kyhunter93 12-24-2009 01:18 PM

That looks like a nice deer.

Do you get any of the deer diseases there like blue tongue? That one is caused by midge bites on dry years and they often die within a couple of weeks near water.

wis_rifle_hunter 12-24-2009 07:31 PM

thats not a bad buck. sorry to hear that

1shotkill1993 12-24-2009 08:11 PM

Were they shot? Or did they die naturally?
