Late season scents

I was thinking of trying some kind of scent scenario for late season hunting here. What if I dropped some vanilla scent with some doe p to try to simulate does coming in to check out the vanilla scent?

Anyone tried something like that? Anyone have a late season scent strategy to try to pull deer in to their area?

i have heard of people using vanilla but i doubt it works that well otherwise everyone would be using it

I have tried the vanilla scent stuff and never had much luck. I did use the last little bit of my doe in estrus bomb and all I got was a very angry doe walking around and stomping her hoof at the ground. Then I shot her..

Buddy has had great luck with Trails End scent. I never had much luck with it.

Vanilla works GREAT!

....if you want something to get their close range attention. I've never seen does go out of their way to come and smell it, but when they work their way up a trail, many will stop and smell the source. So it can be used to stop them for a shot. In fact, several other lures can be used likewise.

I wouldn't use it as an attraction. If it were me, I'd try using doe urine and a touch of interdigital gland on a drag. In late season, bucks are still ready and looking to breed and if you can pique that curiosity, you have a chance.

I'd still put most all my focus on hunting near where the highest numbers of does are though.
