Nice Buck Picture

Northeast PA buck with forked G2s. He looks young. Could be a real slammer in a couple of years. He'd be a shooter for me now ;)

Man, lots of character, he's going to be interesting to watch develop over the next season or two! Good luck with him.

nice buck young 2.5 or 3.5 id kill him now if he stepped out no doubt

glew22 12-06-2009 05:57 PM

WOW. Thats deer looks 3.5. He's huge. Shoot Him. And if he makes it through, find him.

BarnesX.308 12-07-2009 04:44 AM

There's also another buck running around with a forked G2. Plus it has bother G3s. Not as big a frame though. Maybe even younger. I like the genetics that are starting to show up.

Canuck33 12-07-2009 05:06 AM

Awesome, neat looking forks they don't usually fork forward like that

turkeygirl2 12-07-2009 05:09 AM

Very cool! Yeah, he'd be a shooter for me to right now! Nice buck!

Maryland_Whitetail 12-07-2009 08:07 AM

Sucks he broke his left G3 off. I wouldn't pass though. Good luck getting him!!

kateraxl2381 12-07-2009 08:32 AM

I'm pretty excited at the potential our bucks are starting to show. Here's another shot of him.

Is it just me or does his rack look HUGE compared to his body in that last picture. Idk, it just looks really tall and his main beams seem to be long. Looks kind of unproportional to me but idk. Great deer! Wish he was on my trail cam instead haha.

Barnes...I hunt north of Benton myself...good to see some big bucks running on your side of the mountain...good luck on him

sharpizzio 12-07-2009 12:41 PM

I think he is older than what you think. I agree 3 1/2 years old. He is a shooter now in my book!

Trust me, I would unload my clip if I saw him in the woods during shooting light :D

There's also an 8 pointer that made my jaw drop around the property. :arms: Saw him once. He's got every bit of 15" G2s and 10" G3s. 6" brow tines and a good 23" wide. Just awesome. And spooky, even at night. It's just nice to know there's a chance one of those guys could walk by when I'm out there.

If you hunt north of Benton, I'm sure you've been to the Red Rock Corner Store. There's a picture of a nice 12 pointer hanging up. State Game Land buck.

That's something I don't mind in the least. :D We also have a buck around that weighs about 300lbs and only has 6 points. One extreme to another. :D

pats102862 12-07-2009 04:39 PM

Looks like he got muley antlers.

BarnesX.308 12-08-2009 03:25 AM

Looks like he got muley antlers.
It does. Maybe one got loose from a PA game farm :D

7VALLEYS 12-08-2009 05:50 AM

I am normally there for the monster subs, but have not been there for awhile...I did eat dinner at Ricketts Glen Hotel the one night...but will check that buck out man!

Great food there. If I'm looking for prime rib, it's The Central. Breakfast - The Brass Pelican.

Although it's hard to beat a home-cooked meal at deer camp ;)

cynikalHC 12-08-2009 07:29 AM

I would be letting some lead or fletching fly at him for sure.
