Proper FIELD CARE is a LOT more important than the actual size of the carcass! Sounds like a great excuse to kil a lil' deer though, whatere floats your boat. Also, I can assure you that the still relatively young (2 1/2 year old) buck that you have their certainly shouldn't taste tough by ANY means! Unless you left him ungutted for hours or let 'em sit there in your yard for a long time that should be very tender venison.
