2009 Texas and Oklahoma Bucks

I have had a very productive deer season both in Texas and Oklahoma.
On opening day of Texas rifle season, I tagged a 140 class buck on my families place that I have been hunting since 1994. It is the best buck in rack and body size that has come off the place.

My trip to OK for muzzleloader season was somewhat of a let down in that I only brought home a doe, but I did see plenty of young bucks that have potential to be really nice. I made a return trip for OK rifle season and tagged my second largest buck ever. He is main frame 8 point that gross scores 153".

Those are a couple of really nice bucks. Congratulations! Did you hunt Northwestern Oklahoma?

retrieverman 12-04-2009 02:31 PM

I hunt in Nacogdoches county, Texas and Alfalfa county, Oklahoma.

My son took the photos, and I don't have a clue what kind of camera he has. He did a heck of a job considering the subject matter that he had to work with.:s4:

That is actually a Blaser BBF 97 in 12 ga over 308, and I used the 308 on the buck.

In Oklahoma, I used a Blaser R-93 Professional Tracker in 9.3x62.

Great bucks, but even more awesome over and under. I didnt know you could get a 12 guage over a 308. Now that I have seen one I am looking on the web for a price, but cant find one. Can you give me an idea what a gun like that cost?
