My opinion is that the 3x9 is a much more practical scope for 99% of typical white tail hunting then the other..The vx11 is an excellent scope. I have the 3x9 on my .300, and it does everything I can hope for. Trade + 100? Other may be able to give a better idea of used value, but I would think you would do ok.

Lets see, new at Cabelas your scope is $800, his is $400.

Do I need to do the math for you?

Quit frankly you got way to much scope on that rifle if you just deer hunting with it. The 3x9 is more than plenty. Heck, I use a 2x7x32 nikon monarch and leave it at about 3. You'll bang that 50 on just about everything when you carry it.

I'd say your "buddy" is giving the shaft, unless he is including his rifle with the scope. How do you manage to not know the value of your scope?

I say sell it on Ebay, and tell your buddy to take a hike.

You can thank me later
