Default Nice public land buck.

This is my biggest public land buck to date. I shot him Saturday morning at 7:30 in dense fog. I am quite lucky to have seen him, let alone hit him. He's a seven pointer with a 17-3/8" inside spread and weighed in a 185# field dressed.
This is the only live deer I'vehttp://i442.photobucket.com/albums/qq148/WIbuckchaser/deer1022.jpg seen in the last two days.

Good job WIbuckchaser! Especially the fact he was the only thing moving
that you saw! When the time came, when the rubber met the road, when
highnoon came, when the moment of truth came to be, LOL!, you put the
big hurt on him when it mattered most. Better than choking! Nice picture.

As for N. MN, there have been reports at one of the local sporting goods
stores that the numbers are down. The harvest numbers and the number
of deer in the woods. I'd like to know why because our winter last year
wasn't that bad.

My 30-06 is the only deer rifle I own. This is my 16th yr. using it and it has killed a lot of deer. This is the 3rd. buck in four yrs. from this stand.
