Immature Hunters

The day started great yesterday. I got into the woods before light with the usual high hopes of knocking a monster over. Around 9:30ish I hear people coming then eventually see these two hunters crashing through the woods together. Im like ok whatever, they are probably heading out of the woods. Well they look over at me and stop staring in my direction for a minute then continue on. I can still hear them crashing through the woods when I hear 2 shots obviously from them. I went up to check it out to see what they had shot when I see them running down this trail and hear them laughing their butts off. One of them looked back and saw me, flips me off then contiues running. Well I found their shell casings and the 2 holes in a tree they shot. I just shook my head and went back to my stand but couldnt help but thinking that the 180gr 30 cal bullet travels about 2700 fps and they are only about 100 yds out  . Anyways just wanted to vent a little. Anybody else ever run across a$$#@les like this?

Immature and guns, is just as bad as drugs or alcohol and guns. They don't mix.

Never heard of anything like that.

Seems pretty stupid to go out of your way to try to **** off an armed stranger in the woods. These two idiots will probably by eliminated from the gene pool fairly early.

I dont know guys. I just thought it was a bit rediculous to try and ruin someone elses day because they obviously didnt see anything. They were obviously younger generation and shouldnt be in the woods IMO especially with a gun. I have bumped into some morons before but this is the first time I run across anyone like this. Whats there to gain from doing that is my only question. They didnt know me and I didnt know them and quite honostly I wouldnt want to know them.

I understand your frustration. My family owns a fairly large (130) acres of property with a few gas lines running through it. Every year I deal with the same thing. Sitting in my stand and suddenly here comes 15 quads and dirtbikes ripping down the gas line. I have had it out with these people numerous times. I started out by trying to be nice and explaining to them that they have all spring summer and early fall to ride and hunters only have the woods for a short time so try to be courteous and let us hunt undisturbed. After this tactic did not work I tried to explain to them that it is private property and they are not permitted on it. Their rebuttle was that they are on the gas line and they can ride it if they want to. After trying to explain to them that the gas company has the right of way, not them, it STILL DID NOT get through their thick skulls!! I have tried contacting authorites and they say there is nothing we can do. Does anyone have an idea?

It sucks but I think they are right. The only one who can close it down is the Gas company which I dont think will happen.
