Default anyone try 180 gr in .338

I am thinking of trying the 180gr federal premiums in my .338. Has anyone tried these shells? I shoot the federal 225gr right now and they shoot good but would like to get a flatter shooting round without losing accuracy.

What gain in trajectory? In my 338wm I use the 225gr AB's b/c the 180 gr AB produced around 2.5" less drop at 500 yards. Wind drift with the 180 is much higher then the 225gr due to BC. The velocity is retained longer with the 225gr, at longer rang (300 or so) it will actually be moving faster then the 180gr. The 225gr was also more accurate the 180 at all ranges to 500 yards. This is with my handloads and verified on the range in real life conditions.

Best of luck.
