Like everyone else that is still kicking I am not getting any younger. I have really noticed this year how bad my eyesight has gotten at dusk. I really love the game activity right before dark but I put a bad crossbow shot on a deer last week and could not track him in the dark. Any suggestions?:violin:

They have Blood Tracking flashlights that are available,one of these might be a big help.

Use a flashlight perhaps?

Besides that obvious remark, the help of friends always seems like a good idea. Maybe if traditional light doesn't work, you can try lantern light or the newer LED light bulbs as they're much brighter.

There are products you can spray on the ground that highlights blood. There are also flashlight-type products that illuminate blood.(blood tracking lights)

I would do a doctor's visit to see if a new prescription is in order. I too am not seeing the best in low light, but that's where good optics comes into play when hunting.

Also, I was betwixt whether to follow up on your shooting in low light conditions or to reply about the tracking in low light. LOL!

Is it legal to use a "lighted" scope on your X-Bow such as these battery powered "3 light dot models"? It is here and I have to admit that having this option on my X-Bow has given me excellent low light performance and at least an additional 15-20 minutes of afternoon hunting over conventional fiber optic pins.

It would not be a bad idea to have a doc take a look at the peepers just in case something else is going on.
