the small bucks are doing some chasing, the big boys should be making scrapes and more rubs very soon. On Rt. 287 and Rt. 78 all I see are very small dead bucks

I watched two 100" 2 year olds sparring while a 3 year old 120"+/- chased a does all around a field the other night, the guy that lived across the road stopped and said he had been chasing her for a couple hours. He was stretched right out when I was watching. Good to see the action

Ive still been seeing bucks grouped together... tonight i saw a group of 5 and a group of 3. Have seen some by themselves but no chasing yet.

Ive hunted Knowlton township before as well, lots of deer there. Also have hunted a lot in great meadows and have shot some good bucks there. Now i hunt public land on both sides of the water gap

Default Buck feeding

Last time out witch was last Monday evening I seen a large doe feed for abought 10 minutes in the field then a small deer (fawn) walked out in the field fallowed by I though was another doe , but upon a better look with my binoculars at 600 plus yards away it was a buck .
They all fed till dark together .
Buck was not a bruiser but not to bad either .
Cold air has been around for a while now , Wouldnt surprise me if the rut is early this year ..
