Signs of the rut...........

I live in SW MO and I drove around some of my hunting ground to see what I could see. Saw 9 deer, all fawns, and all in fields. To me this says, acorns are gone and fawns are being weaned.

I live in N.E.Oklahoma, I too was in the woods today and there was so many acorns down everywhere it felt like I was walking on bubble wrap!!!
The fawns are too young to anticipate danger and tend to wander into the fields early.
although, here the last few days the temp has been in the middle 30's in the morning, which will get things going for sure.

We had frost here in NE PA at my house this morning, and were already under a freeze warning for tonight from 10pm to 8am tomorrow morning. I think I'll be a good day for an all day sit.

I'm envious. I was out yesterday and it was 94 degrees, and didn't see a thing. I'm going out this evening again to check out a few other spots. Unfortunately, it's going to be 90's until next weekend. Then we should get a cold snap of 85!

I used to live in FLA( Clearwater area) I know what it's like.
You can always hope for 70's in Middle Nov. and maybe some mornings around 40's.
good luck !

Went for a scouting walk tonight and saw 5 bucks and 5 does. The first buck entered a field at 530 and was on a mission. Another buck was out by 5:45 and the does were all out by 630. I was suprised on how early they were moving tonight. And to think tomorrow is supposed to be 10 degrees colder... I cant wait

I was out on Saturday in 3D: Saw 3 Doe out of range, and didn't see any rut activity.
