Default Southeast Missouri deer

I live in southeast Missouri and just got back from scouting. I found a bunch of little rubs, some scrapes, and a big ole rub, and another big one on top of the hill to my left. Does anyone know if rattling and grunting would be effective this early?

possibly but i have hunted with a friend that has land close to the airport. loads of bucks and rattiling works like a charm. my hunting property is 20 minutes north and havent had any luck with the antlers. thats what i based my first post on. give it a try and see. good luck
