Rut+Gestation=fawn
I hope this doesn' t sound too stupid, but if the peak of the white-tail rut was the last week in November, and a deers gestation period is 200 days( I think), does that mean the does will start dropping fawns around mid-June? I see deer every day and as of yet I haven' t seen any fawns. Thanks folks, Bobby ;)

RE: Rut+Gestation=fawn
Sounds right to me...Here the rut is early to mid-Nov, so that would put the birth of these new fawns, the end of May to the beginning of June.

RE: Rut+Gestation=fawn
We begin to see some fawns here in Alabama in the August time frame. Rut is not until mid January.
