Big cat takes down big deer

I was sent this via TXT message - the story attached to it claims that the picture was taken off a trail camera in southern wisconsin.

If anyone can provide any details to this picture, and/or any truths, that would be awesome.

That pictures has been floating around for awhile now. I heard it was taken outside of Austin, Texas.

BarnesX.308 09-30-2009 08:51 AM

That's the 1000th time I've seen that picture.

I've heard every state in the lower 48, too. Everyone seems to think it's from Texas.

Isnt there a guy on here that has that same picture as his avatar??

halfbakedi420 09-30-2009 10:22 AM

RIStrutStopper 09-30-2009 11:15 AM

Lol, this is the 3rd time I've seen this pic in 2 days. The same pic was taken in Indiana, Texas, and now Wisconsin. The last dozen or so times I saw the pic, I don't remember where they said it was taken.

OhioSlayer 09-30-2009 11:38 AM

Latest I heard it was from Penn.

hycohounds 09-30-2009 11:52 AM

i got emails saying texas and oklahoma..........tony

Good grief! A litlle common sense can go a long way with this one. Anybody should be able to tell that that is southern terrain, along with a southern looking whitetail.

This reminds me of the time my father got the picture of the cat stalking a black tail buck through a pine forest photo emailed to him. The guy told him it was taken a couple counties south of where we lived. He was getting ready to show all of his buddies and I had to ask him since when did we have black tails in IL.?

If you go to the "Off Season" forum one of the mods removed the same picture/story from this forum and moved it down there for some reason yesterday. Texas is the correct state.

bowfly 09-30-2009 12:44 PM

OMG, put it to bed already, i cannot wait for the next "it" photo to circulate!!!

brianjinglea 10-26-2009 11:45 AM

Yes. My wife saw one on her first hunting trip with me... She shot a doe and has not gone back in the woods since.

severetaxidermy 10-27-2009 08:46 AM

I'm sure there was one texas, one in penn, one in Oklahoma, and one in about every other state. This kind of things happens on a weekly, if not daily basis. They gotta eat! Although, it's not on a weekly or daily basis people get pictures of things like it. I think the picture's cool, no idea where it's from.

kateraxl2381 10-27-2009 09:37 AM

ive gotten that picture in texts and emails for about 2 years now claiming it was taken around where i live lol ...it obviously isnt true

mcgurn 10-28-2009 11:06 AM

I got it a couple of months ago . Said it was from Springfield Il.

Skinagrizpilgram 10-28-2009 01:00 PM

That is a common sight anymore here in the Pacific NW. Cougar are everywhere.
Deer & Elk have to be on their game to survive anymore.
